To have written so much inspired music, I don’t believe any composer, artist, musician since, no rock or pop song, really can compare to him or his music - any piece of his music. The thing I like most about him is that at the start of his sacred pieces he writes “J.J.” (Jesus help) and at the end S.D.G. (Glory to God alone). His songs are so clearly meant to be lifted up to God in worship that when I play his keyboard pieces, even very very imperfectly, I can just feel His presence so tangibly. Ahhhh now I have to properly learn all his keyboard music! 

This song, Jesus bleibet meine Freude, has got to be one of the first keyboard pieces I’ve ever played, and the power behind it is just so so so so amazing its beyond words! And to think all the times I’ve played and heard it, I’ve never truly appreciated it before.. its just pure joy joy joy joy joy! 

And this, Bach is really a good role model! :D
